最佳出行时间
December through April is South Vietnam's dry season and the most reliable window for a Ho Chi Minh City / Mekong Delta / Mui Ne route — consistent sun, minimal rain. May through November brings the wet season, though rainfall here is typically a predictable short afternoon downpour rather than an all-day washout, so it rarely derails a well-timed itinerary. Da Lat, at higher elevation, stays noticeably cooler than the rest of the South year-round.
- Mekong Delta boat trips (floating markets especially) are best done early morning, before the markets thin out and the heat builds.
- Mui Ne's sand dunes are most comfortable to visit at sunrise or late afternoon, avoiding the midday sun on open sand.
常见问题
Is the wet season worth avoiding entirely in the South?
Not necessarily — May-November rain typically arrives as a short, predictable afternoon downpour rather than an all-day event, so it rarely disrupts a well-paced itinerary.
Why does Da Lat feel so much cooler than the rest of the route?
Da Lat sits at a significantly higher elevation than the coastal and delta stops on a South route, which keeps it noticeably cooler year-round.
